Acecore’s long-established Zoe quadcopter is now available as a fully redundant octocopter.

The Acecore Zoe is a well-established drone, with many users in demanding industries such as renewables, infrastructure and even public safety. It’s a portable and lightweight heavy lifter that handles the most high-end payloads like a dream. Since last year, Zoe saw a growing popularity in various high resolution and LiDAR applications due to its payload capacity, weather proofing and operational reliability.

For those type of missions where redundancy is preferred, we now offer the Acecore Zoe with an octocopter upgrade. It has double the amount of engines but isn’t larger than the quadcopter version, nor is more difficult to set up thanks to the combination of foldable and quick release propellers.

Redundancy

Having double amount of engines is not necessary to fly big advanced payloads such as LiDARs and high resolution cameras. By definition, redundancy essentially means overkill which is exactly how we see it. The extra engines serve as a safety net, securing the drone in case of an anomaly in the propulsion system.
